The racing areas for the Poole Regatta include courses in the sheltered waters of Poole Harbour and in the bay around Poole, Bournemouth and Studland. Race areas for the 2014 regatta have are not yet confirmed but below are those used for the 2012 event which will hopefully give you an idea of the challenges posed by the event. Full details of the racing areas together with details sailing instructions for both the harbour and bay areas will be available nearer the event. There will be up to 10 races over 3 days, and for the J24 Nationals these wll be over 4 days. Depending on classes, there will be up to four races back to back on Saturday and Sunday, and up to three races back to back on Monday, followed by the Prizegiving at the Royal Motor Yacht Club at approximately 16.00 hrs.
At this stage 2014 classes have not been confirmed, but in previous years they have included: IRC, MOCRA, J24, Quarter Ton, Sonata, Flying Dutchman, XOD, Flying 15, R19, Redwing, Shrimper and 2.4 Metre.Use the link below to register your interest in the event and we will send you more information as soon as it becomes available.
