2018 Social Programme

Friday 25 May – Competitors’ Welcome Reception

We are delighted to invite all entrants to a Reception from 1900 until 2100 on board the Greenslade boat “Purbeck Princess”.

The boat will be moored alongside Poole Quay Boat Haven, with access from the Quay.  The bar will be open throughout, with free beer courtesy of Hall & Woodhouse, and alternative drinks will also be provided, together with light snacks.  Tickets for access to the boat and the free drinks can be collected from the International Paint MDU on the Quay from 1600 – each boat can collect enough tickets for everyone aboard.

Saturday 26 May

Poole Yacht Club will host this evening.

Music will be provided from 2045 by The Jimmy Hillbillies

Sunday 27 May

Parkstone Yacht Club will host this evening

Music will be provided from 2030 by B Town Soul Cats

Both clubs will have:

  • Results and daily photo shots on display
  • Wide choice of food available from 18.00
  • Special bar promotions

Monday 28 May

The Prizegiving will be hosted by Parkstone YC.

Inter-Club Transport

We are pleased to announce that we have arranged free water transport, provided by one of the Greenslade Pleasure Boats, the Purbeck Gem, and a free late-night taxi service by minibus, provided by Bennetts Mini Coaches, for the Evenings and the Prizegiving.

There will be a continuous water taxi service between Parkstone YC, Poole YC and the Poole Quay Boat Haven on Saturday 26 May and Sunday 27 May. Download the timetable here.

On both evenings a late-night service by minibus will then run between 2200 and midnight, as a continuous shuttle with no times, leaving when the vehicle has customers.

For the prizegiving on Monday 28 May, the same free water taxi service will run between Poole YC, Poole Quay Boat Haven and Parkstone YC. The water taxi will wait at the venue to return passengers after the prizegiving.
